WorldSBK.com takes a quick round-up of the stats, the facts and the figures from the eighth round of the FIM Superbike World Championship at the Automotodrom Brno.


• Max Biaggi keeps on posting records on the Brno track: for the first time he started on pole here and in the races he scored a second and a win, the same results he obtained in 2007, 2009 and last year. For the first time in his career Max managed to win on the same track four times. It's the sixteenth win for Biaggi, the same number as Giancarlo Falappa, the second most successful Italian winner behind Pierfrancesco Chili, who counts seventeen;


• Max is at his seventh straight podium, equalling his personal best, set last year from the second South African race to the second Brno race. The absolute record belongs to Colin Edwards, with 25 straight podiums (Spain 2002 race two - Imola 2002);


• 20th front row start for Carlos Checa;


• Marco Melandri scored his third win, the same number Max Biaggi recorded in his debut year (2007). The best rookie was Ben Spies, who won fourteen races in 2009;


• in the last three races the first four riders have always been the same: Max Biaggi (2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st), Marco Melandri (1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd), Carlos Checa (three times third) and Michel Fabrizio (three times fourth), they were joined by Eugene Laverty and Ayrton Badovini, respectively fifth and sixth in both Brno races;


• for the first time in twelve races at Brno, Noriyuki Haga missed the top-10, finishing twelfth in race one;


• for the first time in his career, Michel Fabrizio wasn't able to score at least a podium in Brno: he managed to do that for five straight years;


• Jakub Smrz crashed for the fifth time in the last six races. In his career he has retired in one race out of every two due to crashes at his home track;


• also Ruben Xaus crashed for the fifth time in Brno: he has recorded at least one crash per year here since 2008;


• Viktor Kispataki was the first Hungarian rider to start a Superbike race since 25th September 1994, when Arpad Harmati entered his last Superbike race in Mugello;


• in Supersport Gino Rea scored his maiden win, together with his maiden front row start and his maiden fastest lap, the 75th for Honda;


• maiden win also for Sylvain Barrier in Superstock 1000;


• maiden pole and win in Superstock 600 for Dino Lombardi, the oldest winner in the history of the series at 21 years. The youngest was Loris Baz, in Valencia, 2008, at 15 years, 2 months and 4 days of age;


• Tomas Krajci is the first Slovakian rider to climb on the podium in Superstock 600.
